The Nicosia Dog Shelter

We care for stray and abandoned dogs and puppies until they can be adopted by caring, responsible owners. All of our dogs are vaccinated, loved, healthy and with good temperaments. Can you help by adopting or fostering one of our lovely dogs? Volunteers are always needed to help walk, groom and care for the dogs. If you would like to adopt or foster a dog, volunteer at the Shelter or help us in any way, please contact us.

Visitors are welcome at the Shelter between 10am and 4pm daily (except Sundays).

How can you help?

1. Donate money or small items to our charity shops.
2. Provide a home for one of our dogs.
3. Spay or neuter your pet.
4. Tell your friends about us.

Who we are?
A registered, non-profit association for the welfare of dogs in Cyprus.

Why we are here?
1. To provide much needed temporary shelter and care for many unwanted dogs and puppies in Cyprus.
2. To help educate the public on basic animal welfare and care.

What do we need?
Funding for kennel facilities, food, medicine, veterinary services and educational materials.

Directions:
The Shelter is opposite the old Nicosia Airport, in the UN buffer zone in Nicosia. You need to enter through the Foxtrot Gate, which is the UN checkpoint just opposite the Intercollege (University of Nicosia) campus.

You must call us before coming to the Shelter so that we can arrange access for you at the UN gate.
