The Nicosia Dog Shelter
Affiliated to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals

We care for stray and abandoned dogs and puppies until they can be adopted by caring, responsible owners. All our dogs are vaccinated, loved, healthy and with good temperaments. Can you help by fostering or adopting one of our lovely dogs? Volunteers are always needed to help walk, groom and care for the dogs. If you would like to help care for the dogs or make a donation, call us at the Dog Shelter on 99 868 512.


Visitors are welcome at the Shelter between 12am to 3pm. daily except Sundays.

Directions:
The Shelter is in Makedonitissa in Nicosia.
You need to enter through the UN check point, opposite the Intercollege campus.

Nicosia Dogathon 2007

D'Avila Moat (below Eleftheria Square)


Following from the success of past events, we are now organising the "4th Nicosia Dogathon" to be held on Saturday, 21st April 2007 in the D'avila Moat (below Eleftheria Square).

Registration will begin at 2:00pm. The run will commence at 3:30pm and take us through the Nicosia town centre. Prizes will be awarded to runners and their dogs! We are inviting Civic Dignitaries and local well known people to be present at the start of the event.

WHO ARE WE?
A registered, non-profit association for the welfare of dogs in Cyprus.

WHY ARE WE HERE?
1. To provide much needed temporary shelter and care for many unwanted dogs and puppies in Cyprus.
2. To help educate the public on basic animal welfare and care.

  WHAT DO WE NEED?
Funding for kennel facilities, food, medicine, veterinary services and educational materials.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?
